ASUS Laptops only : ‘Splendid’ logo appearing when playing videos in Dartfish

Problem:

When playing a video in Dartfish I see a ‘Splendid’ watermark, a green screen and/or various glitches during playback

Answer:

This problem can come from ‘Asus Splendid video enhancement technology’, this program is pre-installed on Asus notebooks and has been known to cause serious issues while working with Dartfish.
  • Go into the the Windows Add/Remove Software window.
  • Remove ‘Asus Splendid video enhancer’
  • Launch Dartfish
