CD/DVD Burner detection problem
Problem:
After an installation or an update of the Dartfish software, your computer must be restarted to detect the CD/DVD recorder device.
After the restart, your recorder is still not recognized by Dartfish software (typically if it is a recent recorder model).
Answer:
A. Determine the exact model of you recorder on Windows XP/2000
1. Right-click 'My Computer', then click 'Properties'.
2. Click the 'Hardware' tab.
3. Click 'Device Manager'.
4. Double-click 'CD-ROM'.
This displays the list of installed CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD drives.
Each entry listed is the identification string for each drive.
B. Verify if your recorder is supported by Dartfish software
Go to: http://www.gearsoftware.com/support/recorders/index.cfm
At the bottom of the page, all supported recorders are listed.
If your recorder does not appear in the list, it is unfortunately not supported yet.
