Sound missing during the playback of a MPEG clip or troubles converting it
Problem:
You have MPEG clips (file extension .mpg or .mod) that are supposed to have sound, but you can't hear it during playback, or you get an error message when you're trying to convert them to another format.Answer:
Quite a lot of MPEG clips have the sound encoded in AC3. There's a possibility that the AC3 filter needed to render the sound is not installed on your computer.
Please visit this website: http://www.ac3filter.net/
And go in the Downloads section to download the latest version of the AC3 filter. After download, install it. You should then be able to hear the sound of your MPEG videos or convert them.
