Streamzap remote control is not responding

Problem:

No response or error message appearing when trying to use the Streamzap remote with Dartfish software.

Answer:

First try changing the batteries, even if the receiver seems to be responding.

Then check that you can see the Streamzap icon in your taskbar.

If it’s grey : The receiver is not detected or installed.

If it’s red : The receiver is detected correctly !

The most common reason to a grey or missing icon is related to an installation problem with the drivers for the USB receiver.
  • Make sure you are logged in Windows as an administrator.
  • Close Dartfish.
  • Disconnect the USB receiver (remember in which port the receiver  was connected)
  • Uninstall any Streamzap drivers you might find in the Windows Add/Remove Software window (Can be found in the Windows Control Panel folder)
  • On the Software CD, browse to utilities and double-click on CleanSettings.exe then click on both Reset all buttons and confirm.
  • On the Software CD, browse to utilities and double-click on PCRemote... this will reinstall the Streamzap drivers.
  • During the driver installation you may have to click on Continue after seeing a Windows driver warning. Complete the installation.
  • Now reboot your computer.
  • Once you’re back in Windows, connect the USB receiver to a different port.
  • Now the Streamzap icon in the taskbar should be red.
  • Launch Dartfish, go into the Player Module, load a clip and then try pressing on the « Fullscreen » button on your remote. (Top left corner)
  • This should have solved your remote issues !
