Video clip not showing on the secondary screen

Problem:

 

Your secondary screen doesn't show the video clip when you play it : the screen - or video area - stays black.

Answer:


A first advice, that is relevant for almost any computer problem, is to make sure you have the latest drivers for your hardware, particularly in the case of GFX cards.

If you have the latest drivers for your GFX card, but the problem still happens, there's a workaround for it.

Go in "Control Panel" (you will find it in the Start Menu), and then click "Display". You should see a similar screen to this one (if you dont immediatly see this screen, just click the "Settings" tab on top) :




Click the "Advanced" button in the lower-right corner.
Then you should see a tab labelled "Troubleshoot", click it.
You should see this screen :




Move the "Hardware Acceleration" slider to the left, to the position shown on the screenshot.
Now press ok in all opened menus.

You should now get the picture on both screens.
