2005 Performance Technology Workshop hosted by USOC

National team coaches and other individuals who carry out video analysis and scouting for U.S. teams participated in the 2005 Performance Technology Workshop September 7-11 at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Complex. Hosted by the United States Olympic Committee?s Coaching and Sport Science Division, the four-day program focused on providing advanced training to National Governing Body (NGB) personnel who wanted to be more proficient in the use of video analysis tools.

Sixty attendees representing both winter and summer sport NGBs took part in the workshop. Training concentrated on the use of Dartfish technology, which enables coaches and others to analyze a game or event from either an individual athlete?s or entire team?s point of view. In addition to facilitating precision comparing and contrasting of athletic performances, Dartfish software also is used for data and file management and multimedia development.
