At the very heart of this learning environment are the world class teaching facilities held within the new 4,550 capacity Carnegie Stand. Consequently, we have worked for some time alongside the lecturers and students at Leeds Met to create the cutting edge Dartfish Academy within these new stand facilities. Having an entire suite and seminar rooms within the Stand dedicated to analysing both movement and performance directly through the Dartfish software, we have established a unique and powerful resource which will specifically bring together students, coaches, and professional players under the same roof.
Indeed, guests invited to the Carnegie Stand opening were provided with an initial insight of both the power and potential of the Dartfish solution. During their tour of the facilities, a demonstration was provided to illustrate how the software was already being used in a high level research project analysing goal kicking in rugby, as well as the ways in which Leeds Rhinos have used the software to track and analyse the on field movements of their players during Super League matches.
There is no doubt that this exciting partnership between Dartfish, Leeds Met, Leeds Rugby, and Yorkshire Cricket provides a real milestone in providing a world class facility which directly brings together the combined power of a leading university and a professional sports club. It is great, therefore, that Dartfish has been chosen as the leading movement analysis software to help drive forward and create new and exciting learning opportunities within this environment.
If, therefore, you would like to find out more about this pioneering and innovative vision in creating one of the most exciting developments in British sport, then please feel free to contact Mr. Kevin Taylor at Dartfish UK on who would be more than happy to discuss the background to this exciting partnership further.
