Deer Valley Resort has implemented Dartfish video enhancement technology for its Ski School. Dartfish analyses are offered free of charge as a value-added feature for full-day and half-day private lessons. Currently, approximately 20 full-day or half-day private lesson students may use Dartfish on a 'first come, first served' basis. In addition to the lesson, the students receive a CD-ROM of the footage and, when feasible, a printed color copy of the photomontage. Students may add to the CD during subsequent Dartfish lessons.

Dartfish provides regular video footage of a skier as well as other features, such as, side-by-side views, overlays of one skier on top of another called SimulCam, and StroMotion, a freeze-frame photomontage. Using a digital format, students are videotaped making specific maneuvers. The Ski Instructor then analyzes the footage immediately with the student while still on the hill. Each analysis takes about five minutes.

In addition to private lessons, Dartfish will be used extensively for Deer Valley's Ski Instructor training programs.
