"We are happy to have developed close cooperation with Dartfish. In terms of providing tools for technique development, Dartfish is the leader. It’s very useful for coaches and athletes at the elite level,” explains Peter Reinebo, Sports Manager of The Swedish Olympic Committee.
The Swedish Olympic Committee is interested in using Dartfish, so that more of their coaches will use the software to analyze and compare technique, when coaching their Olympic teams. The SOC also hopes to encourage more expanded and regular use of Dartfish software by their coaches and athletes, with the full range of Dartfish software features being utilized.
Swedish Olympic Sports using Dartfish today are alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, freestyle skiing, figure-skating, canoe-slalom and gymnastics. It is also being more widely used in track and field. Wrestling, canoeing and swimming are initiating their Dartfish use as well. Peter Hornebrant of Gothenburg, who coaches in several disciplines, including track and field, will be the Dartfish Coach for The SOC.
“Our hope is that in the future, Dartfish will be more widely used, especially among young athletes," states Mr. Peter Reinebo of the SOC, “as well as by our elite athletes.”
