Qatar Olympic Commitee (QOC) holds Dartfish course for sport federations

DOHA, June 15, 2009 – The Sport Affairs Department of Qatar Olympic Committee is organising a Dartfish training course "sport analysis programme" for sport federations employees at its headquarters.

According to organisers, a total of 36 participants were separated into two groups. Group "A" received a series of training sessions from June 9-11 and group B followed their respective trainings from June 13 -15.

The course contains detailed explanations on how use Dartfish programmes to load a football match in the computer, as well as the use of the programmes to analyse the plans, collect information, statistics on players, or any other events related to the match.

The course targets limited categories from different sport federations, including coaches, assistant coaches, players, technical experts.

Mr. Mohammed bin Humaidah, the expert from the Sport Affairs Department, said the course aims to develop the technology of sport analysis and how to add modern techniques to analysis movements of football by using computer and video.

The main course lecturer is Mahmoud Ahmed Fakhro, a football trainer.
