Unlike traditional symposiums that focus solely on theory and function, this workshop will cover all aspects of visual analysis in a hands-on and step-by-step process, capturing live sport movements during 'in the field' video sessions.
At least one Olympic athlete per sport will be available to share his/her expertise and serve as a model for video review. Additionally, a number of US Olympic coaches of winter sports will be training alongside workshop participants. The raw footage of these elite athletes will be brought back to the classroom and reviewed utilizing the many unique aspects of Dartfish video analysis.
High potential sports for video capture will include figure skating, hockey, weightlifting/fitness, ski jumping, alpine skiing, and track and field.
