New publishing option
Publish video directly to dartfish.tv – our new online content sharing platform that provides a secure online environment for sharing not only video but all your Dartfish analysis. From the Tray, publish raw video or videos produced by Dartfish tools. From the Analyzer publish complete Storyboards including drawings, key positions, notes and comparisons. TeamPro and ConnectPlus edition users can publish tagged video. You might also publish game highlights by exporting selected events to the Storyboard first.
Support for latest video formats
Dartfish is now able to capture, and is optimised to use, video from high definition (HD) video cameras using the HDV and AVCHD formats (with the exception of Stromotion and Simulcam). An increasing number of devices record video as MPEG4 and DivX; Dartfish is now able to use these video formats.
Audio Recording
It is now possible to select different devices to record video and audio in the DV import, InTheAction and Tagging (Tag Live) modules. For example, this could allow video to be recorded from a webcam while an audio commentary is added using the computer’s microphone.
Live encoding
Previously, only powerful computers were able to support both capture and simultaneously re-encode video. The process has now been modified to cache AVI video on disk while being converted, allowing a larger number of users to compress video during capture. A Background Task Manager allows you to track the progress of the creation of compressed clips.
More control over video playback
Speed control over a wider variety of video formats and videos played in reverse.
Analysis Recorder (Pro and TeamPro only).
Pause during recording is possible.
Export Video Clip value data as a CSV file
The category/value information assigned to video clips can contain a wealth of information. This can now be exported as a character separated value (CSV) file that allows this information to be stored in a database or spreadsheet.
Import from external drives and Hard Drive (HD) camcorders
The new Hard Drive Import tool allows import from CDs, data DVDs, external hard drives and memory sticks and Hard Drive (HDD) camcorders. This not only ensures that video is included in the Dartfish library but it can also be categorised as it is imported.
Improved usability features
Set InTheAction Pre-record (formerly known as preroll) and Duration settings directly from the main screen. Pre-record is also introduced into DV Import so never again should you start recording too late.
