The importance of data analytics and statistics in sports has been known for years and is now one of the key success factors closely correlated with the performance. However, gathering data often requires expensive hardware solutions that include GPS trackers and multi camera installations.
When watching a video of a game and analyzing patterns and tactics used by an opposing team, have you ever wondered whether calculating speed, acceleration and distances directly from the video was possible? Well, thanks to the Dartfish 3D analysis feature, you can now do this easily and in a very few steps. Say goodbye to heavy infrastructures and start analysing data from a simple video!
How to track players and trajectories on a video with Dartfish ProS.
Select the videos you wish to analyse and easily track the players or items you want to analyse.
This tutorial will show you how to do this in a simple way.
When the tracking is complete, Dartfish already calculates some data and you can instantly display them on a video.
Furthermore, if you want to run a deeper analysis, you have the possibility to extract the raw data in a .csv file and use a dedicated statistics tool to extract all the information you need and build your own reports.
